| HUNGARIAN APPLE SOUP Alma Leves Here’s another delightful tangy and creamy soup. HUNGARIAN APPLE SOUP- Alma Leves. I love this soup in the fall, when I want to eat something really creamy. Any apples will do, you just need to adjust the sweetness. You will start a new trend with the kids, that’s for sure. DIRECTIONS: Sauté together; apples, butter, sugar and cinnamon. Add water and boil for 10 minutes. Add pinch salt. Prepare Cream Slurry (Habarás): place sour cream, flour and water in a bowl and whisk until creamy. Remove apples from heat – stir in slurry and return to stove. Bring to a slow boil, then remove from heat, let cool slightly and serve lukewarm. This is a great first course to a rich meaty meal. |
